“Let’s Make it Together! Renewable Energy Day” has ended successfully (Activity report and media summary)
“Let’s make it together! Renewable Energy Day” was a great success.
The event became a “platform for collaboration” for those who are committed to promoting renewable energy in order to solve climate change such as: youth, citizens, experts and media representatives, Ministry of the Environment, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and companies aiming for 100% renewable energy. We recognize the importance of working together to solve the problem of climate change, transcending each other’s domains and leveraging each other’s strengths. New collaborations and partnerships began to emerge soon after the event.
In addition, the program “SDGs Special: Renewable Energy Revolution, Nippon’s Challenge,” which Media is Hope helped to realize, was viewed with the audience in the form of a public viewing! We supported the reporter Yutaka Yamaguchi and the program production team. Here, too, there was a positive atmosphere of “Let’s support each other so that more climate change reports, programs, and content will be produced. We also held the “Media is Hope AWARD” to honor the achievements of media journalists who contribute to solving social issues such as climate change and SDGs. We presented the media award to “Kodansha FRaU” and the individual award to “Mētere reporter Sanae Shimazu” in the first half of 2023.
Media is Hope’s commitment to fulfilling its role has been solidified again. We will continue to establish a mechanism to provide ongoing support to media professionals who produce climate change reports, programs, and articles.
