MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. has participated in study sessions and the 30th anniversary symposium of the Japanese Forum of Environmental Journalists. We are honored that our Co-Lead Nishida has now been selected as a Planning Committee Member. We express our gratitude for the forum’s activities to date and pledge to contribute our efforts to make their future activities even better.

The Japanese Forum of Environmental Journalists (JFEJ) is an organization that was formally established on June 28, 1991. The idea for forming this association was first proposed in January 1991 by journalists assigned to cover the Ministry of the Environment. The organization was officially launched with 22 founding members, including reporters working in mass media, writers, publishers, freelance journalists, and photojournalists.

The organization hosts study sessions and symposiums to serve as a platform for information gathering and collaboration.

Journalists interested in environmental issues, as well as young reporters who may not currently be in departments directly covering environmental problems but have a desire to study environmental issues in the long term, are invited to visit the membership information at the link provided.
