[FRaU Web x 5 Newspapers] Climate Change Roundtable Discussion Part 2 Has Been Released

This is the second collaborative project among five newspapers (The Asahi Shimbun, The Yomiuri Shimbun, The Mainichi Shimbun, The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, and The Tokyo Shimbun), FRaU Web, and MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. Following last year, we held a roundtable discussion over climate change reporting.

This roundtable discussion consists of a series of four sessions.

The discussion was based on the following four themes:
1, Most read articles on climate change
2, Readers’ reactions to the new record of the highest temperatures
3, Things to keep in mind when writing articles
4, Topics that felt the need to report on

They looked back at the climate change reporting that each newspaper has published, from their own perspectives.
The articles introduced are packed with the ingenuity of journalists and editors who work hard every day to report on climate change, and have received a lot of positive feedback from media professionals.

This article of roundtable discussion shows how much the reporters value the reactions of their readers.
