We Will Be Participating in COP29 On-Site! Notice Regarding Material Provision and Information Sharing for Media

Following last year, we will be participating in COP on-site again this year!

The Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11-22, 2024.COP29 will be extremely important for Japan, where discussions on the formulation of the Seventh Strategic Energy Plan are currently underway.

Following last year, MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. will be participating on-site again this year. We will provide support to the domestic media, including the provision of information and materials to lead to increasing substantive coverage of COP. In addition, during our stay, we will be updating our social media with the latest information and news from the venue. We aim to disseminate information that will lead to news coverage, so please follow us and share!

Examples of information/materials provided to media (COP28)

At COP28 held in Dubai last year, we conducted interviews with journalists from around the world about their climate change reporting, reaffirming the importance of the media continuing to inform citizens about global issues. We provided interview videos filmed on-site as material, which led to cases such as articles being published.

A media debriefing will be held after the conclusion of COP29

In early December, we will host a COP29 debriefing for media that will incorporate more diverse perspectives than anywhere else, earlier than anywhere else. COP participants will talk about the impact on companies, youths, and society from various perspectives.
