[FRaU SDGs AWARD] Co-Lead Nishida and Natori Served as Judges for the Second Consecutive Year!

What is FRaU SDGs AWARD?

This award recognizes and highlights outstanding actions by individuals, organizations, and municipalities that have been featured by FRaU as a media outlet. By communicating the SDGs significance of these actions, the award aims to deepen public understanding and serve as a driving force toward taking further steps in achieving the goals. Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Special Awards are given to selected nominated actions.

Co-Lead of MEDIA IS HOPE Inc., Nishida and Natori served as judges for two consecutive years, in 2024 and 2025.

2024

In 2024, “Climate Change Roundtable Discussion” (Part 2) — a collaboration between five newspapers (The Asahi Shimbun, The Yomiuri Shimbun, The Mainichi Shimbun, The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, and The Tokyo Shimbun), FRaU Web, and MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. — received the Bronze Award.

2023

A collaboration project between MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. and FRaU received the Bronze Award. In this project, Rion Tazuhara, the winner of the R-1 Grand Prix 2023 (a major Japanese comedy competition), learned about climate change from scientist Seita Emori, transforming his discoveries and surprises into a comedy video. The video was made available for distribution across partner media outlets, and YOSHIMOTO KOGYO HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (one of Japan’s largest entertainment and talent management companies) enthusiastically supported and actively contributed to the project.

[Kodansha FRaU] FRaU Web × MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. Collaboration Project — Now Available in Full!

We are truly grateful for the invaluable opportunity to serve as judges. MEDIA IS HOPE Inc. will continue to collaborate with a diverse range of media outlets, companies, and professionals across various fields, supporting and amplifying initiatives including climate change reporting.

FRaU

FRaU is a women’s single-theme magazine covering beauty, travel, and lifestyle. In December 2018, it published its first SDGs special issue, FRaU SDGs: “How to Start Changing the World.” The issue gained widespread attention as an unprecedented women’s magazine dedicated entirely to SDGs coverage. Since then, FRaU has published 27 SDGs editions (as of January 2026) and hosted events, working to promote SDGs awareness through a lifestyle-oriented and visually engaging approach. FRaU received First Half Media Award at the Media is Hope Award 2023.
