In response to the severe climate crisis, there is a growing movement to apply “solution-oriented reporting” = “Solutions Journalism” where mass media and citizens collaborate to seek solutions to various social problems, and explore effective measures against climate change, a common threat to humanity. Mass media are working to build partnerships that transcend traditional boundaries between newspapers, magazines, and broadcasting, while collaborating with citizens, NGOs, businesses, and researchers to share information about what climate actions are immediately possible and which measures can achieve sustainable effects.
This article captures the latest movements of mass media reporters covering climate change countermeasures, international organizations, and NGOs that facilitate media collaboration, conveying the thoughts and significance embedded in these efforts.
